Beans
Jack ran inside to show William his produce this morning. It's a shame the only way we can get him to eat them is cut up in spaghetti bol.

Canberra Show
We met Aunty Ren and Uncle Mike at the show. We had an awesome time and we ate healthy food. See below Mum!
We drove fast on the dogem cars and crashed several times into Uncle Mike.
Will enjoyed the scenery and met another William that was 3 days younger than him.
I loved the baby animals and the excitement on Jack's face. Jack loves his Thomas show bag and he loved the animals.

Missing Jack
William didn't know what to do without Jack today. Jack has been by Will's side since he came home barring one 30min trip to Bunnings when he was 2 weeks old. Apart from that Dad has been unable to convince Jack to leave Mum or Will for even a trip to the corner shop. But Jack ran out the door this morning with a story to show Rose about Santa, his Pool Party and of course his brother William.
William visited the kids at Lyneham who have all grown so tall after not seeing them for 8 weeks. And then he was weighed and measured at the clinic and he is 4.8kgs now.

William slept all afternoon so peacefully and then Jack came home at 3 and William gave the most gorgeous smile when Jack came to find him. He was still smiling after Mum raced to get the camera.

True Love
Stu left me home with a slow cooked roast pork. The only problem was that I wasn't home that day. The boys and I were at playgroup in the morning and had shopping to do in the afternoon.
So the roast was a little crispy by the time we got home....
We had a great time at the Botanic gardens with Molly. Jack fell in this pond right after I took this picture. It was lucky that we still carry a spare pair of shorts but the new shoes squelched around for almost 2 hours. It was also lucky that the picnic rug survived as Jack carried it around like it was his prize. He was so looking forward to having a picnic and every time we stopped he started to pull the rug out. As soon as we got to the garden he said, ' Wow, it's amazing Mummy!' with big round eyes.
True love doesn't happen straight away and it can catch you by surprise. Just when you finally get 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep and your baby gazes at you with loving eyes and a gummy smile. That's when you know you could go another few months without much sleep.

It had a lovely smokey flavour.
We celebrated Valentines day/ Pancake day with more food.

Super Cuteness - 5 weeks
William flashes some super cute smiles in this little video. Maybe he finds it funny that the washing machine and Mum's car broke on the same day.
We also had our post natal check and the Doc thinks that William is lactose intolerant. He suggests more gripe water and formula sooner than later. We will take that advice with a grain of salt :)

Happy Valentine's Day
4 weeks old - the only age a receding hairline can look cute
Nan's birthday dinner was delicious but Molly and Jack were exhausted. (and me too!) William enjoyed the party and slept from when we got home 9.30 until 3am.
It has been raining and raining and the tomatoes are looking amazing. The beans go right over the fence.
I don't believe it would be possible to keep Jack inside for a whole day so we donned the coat and boots and took the camera and the baby monitor outside while William slept the morning away.

Playgroup
Jack and William started a new playgroup today. The playgroup is at the local preschool and there were almost 20 kids to play with. William wasn't left out, he got to meet twins that were born 5 days before him.
It was raining this afternoon so we produced another artwork after watching Alladin. Jack wanted me to join in the picture today. William took the photo :)

First Smiles
William gave a big gummy grin to the MACH nurse yesterday and he smiled for Jack and I today. Jack keeps saying, 'he smiles at me!'
Now to get a photo of it...

Heavy Weight
Will was weighed by the MACH nurse today as he is 4 weeks and still yellow. But he is still growing, strong and healthy. He has grown 1cm a week since he was born and today he weighed 4.170kgs so he is nicely following the 50th percentile.

A new routine
Since Stu has gone back to work we have been figuring out how things will run with one mum and two boys. William has been sleeping better but we weren't ready to say anything in case we *jinxed it. Nan says we have turned a corner so we are QUIETLY celebrating!
Jack has watched much less television with playschool only during feeding times (thanks TiVo) and he has been doing painting in the morning and today we made cupcakes.
Be prepared to be updated with Jack's artworks regularly. If I take a photo of them I don't feel so bad about throwing them out :)
Every afternoon we have taken a walk to the park and today the weather was perfect so we walked to the duck pond which is a 45min round trip.
Jack has helped to cook dinner while William sleeps and then Stu comes home to do the bath and bed.
So far we have had a great week. Jack has been cooperative and he has learnt that when William sleeps we play outside or we play quietly.
William has finally accepted his dummy and is stretching his feeds to 2.5-4 hourly so I haven't been tied to the couch for so many hours. I can finally enjoy spending time with the boys without feeling so tired.
On Tuesday I will be QUIETLY celebrating one month. Those first few weeks were extremely exhausting!
