Bed time is sacred. It's the quietest time of the day to share a story and feel snug and warm when it's freezing outside. The boys were very excited when their new flannelette sheets and duck down quilts came home. Their faces absolutely make my day.

Dad's Birthday
The boys have been preparing for weeks for their Dad's birthday and it was Jack's idea to buy a Nerf Gun so they could have a war. Mum bought him 'The Canberra Gardener' book which is a much more sensible choice for a man of 32. However, the Nerf War did provide plenty of laughs and harmless fun while they chased each other around the park for almost a hour at dusk.
Happy Birthday Stu, we love you.

Busy Week
Jack moved into the loft bed. |
Jules cooked dinner for the urban family. |
And Winnie paid a second visit to the Duncan house. We have had such a busy week! |
Million Paws Walk
It was a slow start to a lazy Sunday morning and William laid on the couch for hours with a terrible cold but I managed to drag the boys to stage 88 where the Million Paws walk starting mark was. It was a gorgeous autumn day for a walk along the lake.
There was a lot to manage with thousands of dogs an a very excited Tori. |
A morning tea break after crossing the first bridge. |
I was pretty proud of Jack who walked the whole 5kms skipping along with a smile on his face. When we got back to the finish line he sat down and said 'I'm exhausted!' |

Happy Birthday Jules!
Jules had the most fantastic party for her 40th. A movie theme with an outdoor theatre and wood fired pizza. We rugged up with coats and beanies and sat next to the gas heaters while the kids were mostly entertained by the Gecko Gang with balloon animals, dancing and face painting.
William enjoyed the gelato, pop corn and hot chocolate while Jack and the bigger kids had balloon sword fights.
This picture was
taken 7 years ago and in that time we've grown to be great mates.
Here's to many more birthday celebrations to come! |
