Summer Baby

In theory William was excited to visit Santa in the mall but when we got to the front of the line he took a few steps backwards and had to be bribed strongly encouraged to even go near the jolly man.

The boys were super excited to babysit Arrabella for a couple of hours on Friday afternoon. They baby proofed the house, arranged suitable baby-snacks and got out the wading pool for her to play in.

We seem to spend the majority of the weekend out on the deck in summer. How did we ever live without the deck?

Mad Mexicans

Vicky & Weland hosted a fabulous Mexican Fiesta with all of the trimmings. Good fun for all!

These two aren't Mexican at all. They are just mad!

Getting Ready for Christmas

The boys picked the most perfect tree out at Santa's Shaped Christmas Tree Farm at Gundaroo. It was definitely worth the drive and a great way to spend the first day of December.

William's preschool put on a gorgeous concert and William (forth from left) especially enjoyed performing the aboriginal dance moves that he had been practicing all week at home.

The Urban Family Christmas party was under the Himalayan Cedars at the National Arboretum and there was much excitement as Jules handed out the secret santa gifts. The kids played happily for almost three hours digging and constructing rock houses.

Happy Birthday Arrabella

It was a long drive out to Crookwell for Miss Arrabella's First Birthday. It was a good thing we had Stu home for the weekend too. Arrabella was pretty happy about being in the spot light!

8.2.13- 12.11.13 Nolan Phillip Sampson

Baby Nolan passed away peacefully in his sleep last week. I can't imagine how life will go on for his parents. I believe, for the most part we are given the hand we can deal. No one understands and it's impossible to guess why.

I'm glad they loved Mum's reading of 'The Next Place.' It is a beautiful story by Warren Hanson.
