Big Boy Cot

William slept for the first time in the big boy cot and I really will miss the bassinet. Stu's mum bought the bassinet especially for her grandchildren and it is so beautiful. She loved beautiful things. Mother's day is next week and it's a time when we think of the mum that we are still missing a lot.

We could have squeezed him into it for a few more weeks but he sleeps much better when he isn't kicking his feet against the end of the bed.

Will sits at the family table

Although he is still not ready for real food William sat at the dinner table for the first time last night. He loved watching everyone eat and chatted with Stu about the events of the day.

Bemboka and Back

William loved meeting Great Nan in Bemboka. Nan has the touch with babies and put a smile on his face.

Jack played fetch with Pop's dogs for hours by himself. Nan said that if he didn't have an afternoon sleep she would put him in the dog's bed but he actually liked that idea and cried, 'I want to sweep with dogs!'

This is Pop's new pup, Ginger and she is 10 weeks old.

No, Jack! We are not taking the puppy home!

Nan cooked a delicious hot lunch and Jack's favourite spaghetti. Jack baked some Anzacs for Pop who ate half the container and whinged that we didn't make enough. When we got home Jack said, ' I has an awesome day at Nanna's.'

Jack's washing

Jack loves to do the washing. Since William has come home we do a load of washing almost every day. Jack has just become tall enough to reach the line and he doesn't care if it takes him half an hour but the basket below he has taken down all by himself. He can also hang the washing out and this morning he hung out a whole row of socks. Jack asks everyday after Play School 'We do washing now?'

Japanese

We had a great time at the Japanese Party tonight. Here are some pics from before we left. Jack met several 3 year old ninjas and some ninja turtles. We ate some sushi, did some origami and watched manga. Bec & Geoff throw an awesome party!

Never mind Jack, look at how shiny the floors are today:)

William tried out the karate chop.

Unfortunately no photos from the actual party as the photographers hands were full.

Jack loves Trash and Treasure. I told him we might find some fruit and some flowers and some toys! He picked up some plastic dinosaurs for 20c each and then I pointed out something else and he said, 'Nah, I got enough toys at home. No more toys thanks!'

It was such a gorgeous day autumn day 23C and just perfect for any dinosaur.

Thanks Nan!

Nan altered William's Japanese outfit today. He slept for hours on Aunty Ren's bed while Jack helped Pop clean the shed. We will miss Royalla when Nan & Pop move.

Japanese

Jack doesn't care much for the Japanese outfits I bought today but William thinks he looks cute. Now to dress Stu as Iron Chef....

My Baby

Zen Parenting

Jack and William were weighed at the clinic today and they are both perfect on the 50th percentile for height and weight. William has almost doubled his birth weight and is 6.4kgs and Jack is 15.5. One day they will stand much taller than their dear old Mum!

We had a lovely quiet afternoon today after I introduced Jack to the beads. He made snakes and necklaces for the whole family. He threaded all 176 beads twice. It was so PEACEFUL! William had a great sleep and I just sat there with a cuppa and chatted to Jack about the sizes and colours of the beads for over an hour. Beautiful!

3 Months

YAY! William is officially 3 months old. Amazingly I am still trying to figure him out and just when I think I've got it he changes it all again. He is only waking once a night but is up for the day at 6 and Jack is up at 6.30 since daylight savings. On the up side they are both having a good afternoon nap to make up for it and usually at the same time.

Since William is the second baby he has learnt to sleep on the go. He can fall asleep on my shoulder anywhere and anytime by sucking on his arm. He can sleep through any noise when he is in the Fisher Price swing and instead of harping on about learning to sleep and 'routine, routine' I have decided to just go with it and he (and Jack too) seems much happier for it . He is still feeding every 2-3 hours during the day but usually only takes 10-15 minutes.

Jack adores William and when he woke up from his nap at Rose's house he asked if he could go home, "I'm missing my William."

The witching hour is usually 7-8pm but even when he is most grumpy he still smiles in between grumbles.

Happy 3 months William!

Darling Harbour Mini Break

Many little luxuries were enjoyed this weekend in Darling Harbour like the King Size bed. The train ride and the ferries.

The face painting.

The chocolate fudge cake at the Guylian Cafe and the buffet breakfast at the Crowne Plaza.

Dinner at the BBQ King.

Wildlife World and the Merry Go Round in the Harbour.

William enjoyed his first trip away and is so exhausted from all of the fun!

William meets his Sydney Family

WINNER!

Jack came runner up in the easter bonnet parade at Pialligo today. We had a hugely egg-citing time!
