Jack

The past 7 weeks have been very busy. Jack has gone up 2 levels in swimming and had his turn of bringing home the class mascott.

He is writing his name perfectly and his drawings are much clearer. He has some new friends and he was excited to tell me they saved him a seat for lunch on Friday.

But learning so much can make a boy exhausted.

Canberra Day Long Weekend

We got up before the sun to see the balloons inflate and fly away from Old Parliament House.

We had a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs and fresh coffee as we watched the balloons pass over our heads.

There were some rather tasty treats. Stu made this lime tart.

These rainbow cupcakes were a big hit with the kids.

We had a wonderful time at the Van Der Hor Wedding and enjoyed every minute of the biggest wedding we have ever had the pleasure to attend. You'll just have to be patient for pictures of the bride. Unfortunately with 150 other guests and a bridal party of 18 I wasn't able to get a great photo of the bride and groom. You'll have to believe me when I say they were gorgeous.

The boys were invited to the ceremony and afternoon tea and they were remarkably quiet for the 40 minute ceremony. The sweet reward included home made macaroons!

Unfortunately the SLR sim card was left at home so this was the only photo of them looking gorgeous. Their expressions say it all. They were well and truly ready for a nap.

Meet Matthew Benjamin Draney

Maryanne has done an amazing job delivering Matthew to the world on Wednesday 7th March. Gye is stoked to have a son!

We couldn't wait for a cuddle so we had to stop by just hours after they got home. After a good feed he was happy to sleep and be passed around. He is a perfectly beautiful baby!

Even the boys got a turn!

Rainy Days

The best thing about rainy days is baking cookies. It's also a good time for William to practice his 'Potty Power.' He is having so much success we will need to buy another box of smarties soon!

We braved the wild weather to take Pop his birthday present and Nanna took us on a 'Tour de Flood.' This is the Queanbeyan River.

It has been raining for almost 7 days straight and the dams are over flowing. The strangest thing was how suddenly it stopped this afternoon and the sun came out just in time for an alfresco dinner.
