Happy Easter

Easter began with a Good Friday seafood feast at Grandpa's house. We ran into these gorgeous little bunnies at Majura Park while stocking up on chocolate.

We spent some time lazing in the sun on the new hammock before setting off down the coast.

This is what we call "glamping".

Mexican in Merimbula after an action packed day at Magic Mountain was delicious.

Jules ordered Tequila slammers to treat my sinus infection.

After the excitement of the easter bunny we jumped on an Oyster boat for a tour of the Pambula river oyster farms.

Jack tried his first oyster which he loved and we learnt all about the growing process which takes around 3 years. "Sponge" the oyster farmer gave a very entertaining commentary. He didn't seem to mind the boys running around and answered all their questions. They all took a turn to steer the boat into shore.

The sun came out and the water was warm. The boys swam for over an hour in the surf while I soaked up the sun.

Canberra Day

Stu had some trouble cooking since the accident last year but this weekend he got his cooking mojo back! Below, filo pastry filled with spiced lamb and pine nuts.

We had a delicious yum cha for lunch on Sunday after swimming. Quan's Kitchen at Kippax does the best yum cha in Canberra.

We bought ourselves a dart board and taught the boys how to play. It must have been beginners luck because they beat us both. Stu told them it was a great game because you can hold an ice cream in your hand while you play.

Scoring became a whole lot simpler with an app to subtract the scores. There really is an app for everything.

We woke up early to see the balloons and Aunty Erin and Arrabella working on the Owlbert Einstein balloon. We had some delicious pancakes for breakfast as balloons were still taking off overhead.

We took Tori for a play at the lake and she jumped straight in. Jack and William realised how warm the water was and jumped in too. It was such a warm and beautiful Canberra day which ended with a sun shower. Perfect!

Happy Birthday Tommy & Pop

It was a great surprise to see baby Tommy walking around on 2 feet and keeping up with the big kids.

Jack and William bought him a ball pit which he absolutely loved.

The Mrs Fields cookie cake was a big hit. Happy Birthday to Tommy and Pop!

ENLIGHTEN

Enlighten was spectacular and magical with a bunny theme for 2016. Questacon had fantastic light up fairy floss!

We had a quiet day after a very late night.

Stu took wasp control into his own hands!

Canberra Show Weekend

The boys enjoyed roast pork at Sam's house and woke up early on Sunday to head off to the Canberra Show.

It was hot and dusty but we had a great day. William got an Adventure Time Showbag and Jack got the World's Biggest Showbag.

Our first hydroponic strawberry was magnificent!

February in a Flash

February was just so busy and it was over before we knew it. The chickens laid a tiny egg, we ventured out to mini golf at Yarralumla and of course it was Nanna's birthday.

We've spent almost every weekend together on the deck enjoying the warm days.
