Nelson Bay

The boys enjoyed the plaster painting. It was William's first go and he loved it.

Then the boys craved more seafood so we headed back to Nelson Bay to get some fresh seafood and watch the boats.

We completed another beautiful day with gelato.

Horse Ride

Before the big ride the kids played a very intense game of Hungry Hippos.

We went on a one hour trail ride through the bush. It was another perfect and sunny day. I'm riding the cheeky Conrad.

Jack and Grace chatted the whole way. The wonderful woman that led them played eye spy for almost the whole hour.

Jack was confident on the horse even when it became disgruntled and gave a little kick and a jump.

Bethany was at the back of the line and quietly enjoyed every minute.

Happy New Year!

For the final post of the blog for 2011.

We have had another fantastic day in Port Stephens. Stu is so relaxed he doesn't know what day of the week it is.

The girls spent the morning at the day spa and shopping after lunch.

I was starting to worry about the boys but when I got back they were all having an afternoon nap. When they got up they showed me photos of their adventure into Nelson Bay.

When they got up we went for a swim.

We rode our bikes in circles around the park and dined together on pizza and fresh prawns and oysters. We watched the 9pm fireworks and chinked our glasses of champagne to say farewell to 2011.

The Duncan's have enjoyed every post. Thanks for watching. See ya next year!

Feeding the sharks and rays

Here we are at the Australian Shark & Ray Centre.

Jack thought we were crazy to put him in a pool with sharks but if Beth, Grace and Sam were in then he thought he would too. We had an amazing experience!

Port Stephens

Jack caught his first fish and William nearly walked into a koala when he was walking from the pool to the villa. Jules made chocolate mousse for dessert and William clearly enjoyed it.

Port Stephens

This is just a taste of the fun we have had so far. The internet is slow to upload pictures from our tethered iPhone so I'll attempt to use the internet kiosk for more later in the week.

The boys traveled well and they enjoyed watching the dvd in the car and ran around like crazy in the McDonalds play area when we stopped for lunch. When we got here it rained for an hour and we were glad to have rain coats to explore the park before it became torrential.

Despite the cooler weather the boys had to try out the pool straight away and then off for a bike ride around the park. We spotted 2 koalas in the trees above our villa and watched them climb up and down the tree as the sun went down. Stu made beef stronganoff for dinner.

When we woke up we went into the plaza and I got a new iphone to replace my one that stopped working just today. We came back for lunch, Harry Potter and another swim. Jack, Beth and Grace painted some plasters and Jack made a sand bottle. When the little boys woke up we hired a go kart and took turns riding around the park. Grace made sure all the kids had glitter tattoos and then we were off to a Spanish restaurant for dinner.

The tapas and paella was delicious. Jack delivered jelly cups to Sam at 10pm before we all finally went to bed listening to the sounds of the ocean and koalas.
