Touch Footy and T20 Cricket

We have been busy with sport most days of the week this summer. Jack, William and Sam have been playing T20 cricket on the VIPERS team which is an excellent way to spend Friday evenings.

William has also been playing touch footy on the JETS team. Jack has been playing tennis on Saturday mornings which he loves.

Getting ready for Christmas in Nicholls

Moving day DID NOT go smoothly and it was all very stressful so we haven't had a chance to blog about anything until now. I was unwell and it was report writing time at work. It really would have helped if we could have moved a week before we did but it's all over now and I'm sure it will be a long time before we do all that again.

There were plenty of positives that I should point out. We had so much help. Jules fed us almost every night for a week. John helped move everything out of Florey in under 3 hours. Erin and Jai drove Tori all the way from Goulburn, unpacked the kitchen and delivered a home made lasagne. Mum took the boys and I out for lunch and helped them choose new bed linen for their new queen size beds. Uncle James and Aunty Jess took Jack and William for dinner at their place while we sorted boxes and things.

The weather was perfect and we were all unpacked in time to decorate for Christmas.

Some rooms are a bit sparse so we are calling this room the "train room" for now.

We have been to so many Christmas parties this month. Stu missed the Christmas concert because he came down with a horrible flu the week after we moved in.

Tori is so happy with her new yard. She has a new spring in her step and she loves the in ground sprinklers.

Jack and William are both enjoying being back in their own kitchen. They love their rumpus room and I have never slept so well with our segregated master bedroom and ensuite. It's luxury!

We went on our traditional Christmas lights drive and found the best ones were at Tillyard Drive this year. Gye and Maryanne's (Slessor Street McKellar) were more spectacular than ever and a very close second on our list.

William and I are planning to explore the neighbourhood by bike over the next month while we don't have to go to school and work. We rode around Yerrabi Pond this morning and it was beautiful. Gungahlin is all new to us and so far we love it!

Happy Birthday Party William

William decided he really wanted a party with his school friends so we celebrated a couple of weeks early before they all left for summer holidays. He invited 5 of his BFFs to Build a Bear and Goodberries which was so much fun.

The boys all stuffed their bears and carried them all the way to Goodberries for an ice cream afternoon tea.
