Floriade

We had a lovely visit to Floriade and Canberra put on the best weather. It was the first time we have been out without a jumper for so long!

Jack took most of the photos and he enjoyed seeing the flowers through the lens.

William had a few days at home with a cough and a cold and when he was feeling slightly better he climbed his favourite tree and he and I took a short visit to Floriade to see the baby animals.

They've changed so much since these days.

Too Much Drama

It's nice for Arrabella and Uncle Mike to have a visit. It seems like they live in another country because we hardly get to catch up when everyone's so busy all the time. Jack took great delight in playing with her on the trampoline. 'Jump, Jump!' she said and then she repeated 'Jack.'

Stu absolutely fell in love with his father's day gift. The house is flooded with technology which the boys absorb. They can instantly pick up the latest model Surface Pro and instinctively turn it on and find their favourite Stampy videos on youtube.

We've had so much success with the fruit dehydrator. William absolutely loves making fruit leathers and it has been a lot of fun trying out different flavours and colours.

Tori's sister came over for the weekend and the girls seemed to get worn out by the excitement. Tori is very protective of the boss and gets snappy whenever Rosie approaches me. Otherwise they have mostly been happy and excited.

Jack went to the Joey scout sleepover and we were so bored without him that we went to Max Brenner.

Pop took a turn for the worst and stayed overnight in the ICU. It's his 3rd trip there in the past 12 months. I was absolutely shocked to see him sitting up after he was really sick the previous night. The antibiotics and steroids took 24 hours but he was up and ready to argue about getting a private room in no time.

Father's Day

It seems like only yesterday that Stu became a Dad and yet, he's always been the Dad-type. He adored his babies and still rushes home from work to hang with them. Stu and Jack have so much in common. They are both anxious about being at places on time, they both love computer games and science fiction. William is just like Stu but also completely different. They are both stubborn and bossy but William is more likely to take risks. William and Stu love to garden together while Jack prefers to help in the kitchen. William was just as excited as Stu to see the first seedling pop up today.

We took a 20 minute bike ride to Strathnairn Gallery & Cafe to celebrate Father's Day with some other great Dads. It was the perfect day for a ride and to soak up some sun. The wood fired pizza was worth the wait and atmosphere was serene. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and less than 5 minutes drive from our house!
