Sovereign Hill

William was very excited to step back in time at Sovereign Hill. He had been looking forward to panning for gold and going down the gold mine all week. He had a million questions before we got there and the expectations were certainly high. He had the best time!

We went down the mine and learnt about 19th century gold mining. The boys were amazed at the old technology use to drill the rock out of the mine.

William was very excited to find gold. We thought we did quite well to find almost a dozen little pieces.

There really was too much to see in just one day. We agreed we must go back and stay overnight next time. We took some interesting roads back to Albury and it made for an interesting drive home.

Tori was especially glad to have us back home!
