Trike

This is what big brothers are for.

The COUSINS are here!

Jack was super excited about Molly and Oscar coming for lunch today.

They had a sausage sizzle for lunch, rode the bikes around the driveway and then ran under the sprinklers. They are all having long peaceful naps now.

Christmas Magic

Jack thinks Elizabeth is the luckiest baby he knows to come home to this display every night in December. It was absolutely magical to see his eyes light up with excitement when he stepped outside to see this.

We kept the Duncan tradition of going for a Christmas light drive but we are far more efficient and organised than years past. We know where the best displays are and the fastest routes. The GPS and internet on the iphone help and of course we pack snacks and drinks. There wasn't even one swear word or map thrown out the window!

Jack finally found the white boomers that we have been singing about all week.

It was awesome to see William running from window to window and looking through the glass at the displays. He gets it. There's some Christmas magic in the lights.

Saturday

Jack is such a great kid when it's time for William to have a morning nap he gets the craft table out and colours and cuts and pastes for over an hour while I clean the house and do the washing.

Tori knows when it's dinner time and she just loves her new dog house.

It's great to be able to eat outside and Jack chats over the fence to the neighbours until he serves dinner to himself and William.

William makes less mess than a few months ago but with the help of a bucket bib, a non spill cup and a suction bowl. Of couse Tori is more than willing to pick up any mess that may be purposefully thrown overboard.

It's the normal, everyday stuff that is so much more entertaining with William around.

Jack is quite literally shocked by William's table manners. "MUM, he chucked some pasta on the floor and Tori is eating it!" *Followed by them both giggling hysterically*

Green Thumbs

The first red cherry tomato and see the mint in the back on the left. We'll be drinking mojitos for the next 10 years!

We have had some strange weather over the past few months. While Queanbeyan river was flooded our garden just soaked it all up. The backyard have never looked so lush and green since we moved in. The grass is so soft the boys can roll around on it. The trees have grown higher and fuller and I've had to do a lot of pruning to keep it all under control.st.

The potatoes have finally come up and the Chilli is taking off.

The rest of the garden is growing like crazy!

And when I asked Jack to bring up the bins this afternoon he said, "Ok, cool mum. I can do that!"

This is his favourite job. I hope he is still so eager to help when he is 15.

11 months today

For the past couple of weeks William has been walking but Jack and I still take a double take and are amazed to see him walking around the house and yesterday he was walking around the park.

It's been an amazing month to watch him learn so much. He is saying 'ta' and 'what's dis?' and loves to chase the new puppy. Only 2 weeks till Christmas and 4 weeks until the big birthday!

What a difference 5 months can make.

Gingerbread houses and Tori's new House

Everyday Jack walks Tori around the golf course. She has become part of the family.

She even got a new dog house from Freecycle and she just loves to sleep in there especially when it's pouring down with rain.

The boys made gingerbread houses. Well, William mostly just ate the biscuits. But Jack really got the idea and totally loved it.

They worked out pretty well and Jack loved the snow effect to complete the project.

They were both pretty proud of the final work of art.
